Xolani Sivunda is a fulltime artist from Umtata, Eastern Cape and the founder of Open heART Studios. He currently resides in Mfuleni location in Cape Town. A product of the Spier Arts Academy, Sivunda has been practicing art for more than a decade. He is known for his colourful mosaic works and abstracted portraits. In 2017, his work was featured in the Cape Town Youth Book, published by Selicia Life Choices. He won a Miniart Expo prize in 2017. In 2020, Sivunda was invited by the Zeitz MOCAA to a panel discussion on community, crisis, care: what Art means today.
