Gilbert Maepa

Gilbert Maepa is a South African visual artist based in Sasolburg, a small industrial town located in the Vaal triangle region. He holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Fine Art and a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education from Vaal University of Technology (VUT). Maepa serves as a part-time lecturer of Fine Art at VUT. He is also an active artist in Sasolburg who trains and artists at the Zamdela Arts & Culture Centre.
